James Lee Johnson

James Lee “Jimmy Lee” Johnson , 59, of Rock Hill, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 6, 1958 in Charlotte, NC, son of the late James Leo Johnson and Beverly Diane Holland Johnson Stewart.

Jimmy Lee had a love of hot rods, especially Chevrolets and enjoyed the time he spent working on them. He was a skilled carpenter, loved dancing, music, a good beer and good food. He will be deeply missed by all his family and will always be remembered saying “It is what it is”.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Travis Johnson and wife, Crystal of Wallingford, CT, Jimmy Johnson of Houston, TX and Heather Pratt and fiancé, Keith Shaver of Ogdensburg, NY; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Taylor and Casey Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Faith, Hope, Richard and Thomas Pratt; sisters, Deborah Istre of Duncan, SC and Karen Linker and husband, Mark of Fort Mill; and his beloved pug, Precious.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Whitesell Funeral Home in Rock Hill.
