James Leo Johnson

James Leo Johnson, 70, of 487 E Border Road, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Piedmont Medical Center. A native of Charlotte, Mr. Johnson was born September 1, 1939 a son of the late Leon and Lorena White Johnson and was a retired truck driver. Surviving are his wife Carrie Sowers Johnson; a son James P.L. Johnson of Rock Hill, two daughters Karen Linker and Deborah Istre both of Ft. Mill; a stepson Ronald Jason Sowers of Rock Hill; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnson will be held at 1:00pm Thursday in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Helms officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00pm Thursday prior to the service.
