James Knight

Mr. James Jefferson Knight, 90, passed away March 22, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC A native of Jefferson, Chesterfield County, SC Mr. Knight was the daughter of the late Alfred Frank Knight and Liza Adams. Born on April 6, 1924, he was a loving husband of 67 years, a member and Deacon of Park Baptist Church, an active member of Masonic Lodge 385, retired from Celanese. In addition to his parents, Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Pressley, daughter Ann Knight, brother Ervin, and sisters Geneva, Frances, and Bettie. He is survived by his sisters Susie and Jenny, daughter Jane Carlson of Charlotte; grandchildren, Peter Carlson and Chad Carlson of Charlotte, Brent Johnson of Gastonia, and Amanda Pantelidis of Greenville, NC, and three great grandchildren. The family would like to thank all of the loving caregivers at White Oak Manor Rehabilitation. The care that each gave was so appreciated. We love you all so much. The service to celebrate his life will be at Park Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Jackie Knight and Pastor Dave Kiehn. Visitation with the family will be at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Park Baptist Church, 717 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
