Archie Medford

ROCK HILL- James Archie Medford, 69, of 1911 Smith Circle, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

Memorial services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, at Whitesell Funeral Home, with Jeremy Herring officiating.

Born in Rocky Mount N.C., Mr. Medford was is the son of the late Roy Charles Medford and Ruby Bradshaw Medford. He was a retired truck driver and a past employee of Duff-Norton. He coached church league solfball and was also on a local bowling league. He loved antique cars
and loved to take short trips and travel, especially with his wife Penny. He was a devoted father and grandfather and enjoyed visiting with his nephews on Sundays.

He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Medford (Robin) and Sid Medford (Joan); a daughter, Tammy Wise (Paul) all of Rock Hill; a sister, Duane Harris of Belmont, N.C.; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
