James Elam Merritt

Fort Mill – Mr. James Elam Merritt , 42, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at CMC Pineville.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Clover with Rev. Mike Stafford. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

James was a native of Indian Land and was a son of the James H. Merritt and Sara Eugene Gray Merritt. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family and enjoyed doing things with his children.

In addition to his parents, James is survived by his wife, Dana Locklear Merritt; his children, Emily, Jayden, Christian, and Trinity Merritt; his brother, John Merritt (Carmen); and nephews, Cullen and Johnathan.

Memorial donations may be made to the Youth Program at First Baptist Church of Clover, 117 S. Main Street, Clover, SC 29710.
