James Mervin Davis

James Mervin Davis, 82, of Rock Hill, passed away on August 28, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 26, 1936 in Dyersburg, TN, son of the late Otha and Bertha Davis. In addition to his parents, James/Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Joyce Hammond Davis; Brothers, Stanley Davis, Vernon Davis and Ancil Davis. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Elizabeth A. McCammon (David) of Rock Hill and Gail M. Armstrong (William) of Manassas, VA; sons, Michael J. Davis (Angie) of Rock Hill and Kyle H. Davis of China; 5 grandchildren Lily Cain, Clara Armstrong, Sarah McCammon, Jason McCammon and Jada Davis; brother Bobby Davis; sisters Edith Blount, Nell Sebella and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Charlotte Avenue Church of Christ. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at 2 PM Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Grandview Memorial Park - Hollis Lakes.
