James "Jim" William Miller, Jr.

James William Miller, Jr., "Jim", 82, of Fort Mill, passed away peacefully on his birthday, Monday, September 30, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was born September 30, 1937 in Columbus, GA, son of the late James William Miller, Sr. and Sarah Walker Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Derik Miller.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Roadway Express after 30 years of dedicated service, where he worked as a Logistical Director. A family man, Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was the true patriarch of the family and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Austin Miller; son, Paul Miller and wife, Rebecca of Indian Land; daughter, Lesley Courtney of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Jordan Miller and Alex Courtney; brother, Tommy L. Miller and wife, Eileen; and a host of other family members.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Indian Land Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
