James Lee Surratt

Rock Hill, SC - James Lee Surratt Born September 19, 1943 in Fort Mill, South Carolina was called home to be with the Lord February 11, 2023.

Services will take place at Eastside Baptist Church, where Jim was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher for 17 years, located at 318 North Jones Avenue Rock Hill, South Carolina.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 10 am to 11 am, with memorial service to follow, with Pastor Nick Vinesett officiating.

James proudly served as both an Active Duty Solider and a Reservist for more than 25 years, retiring as a First Sargent in the United States Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents the Honorable Reverend & Mrs. A. E. Surratt and his brother Butch Surratt.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Bea Surratt; son, Jeremy Lee Surratt and his wife Melissa Surratt; along with four grandchildren, Jacob Surratt, Cade Surratt, Tyler McDermott and Bella McDermott; as well as a brother, Richard A. Surratt of Rock Hill, and sister Brenda Lail of Gastonia, N.C.
