James Russell Thomason Sr.

James R. Thomason, Sr, 61, of Rock Hill, passed Saturday, Aug 19, 2017 surrounded by immediate family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and was a Foreman at SCDOT for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his mother Ada Elizabeth Thomason, father Wallace Thomason, sister Margaret Ann Hildreth, and a daughter Linda Darnell Thomason. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Linda; a son Rusty (Tonya); daughter Jonie; 4 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and five brothers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug 22, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Bass-Cauthen Funeral home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Monday evening at the funeral home or at his family home at anytime. Memorial donations my be made to the Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill.
