Mr. James (Jim) Stephen Toth, 75, died Saturday, April 30, 2016, at his home in Rock Hill, SC.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Whitesell Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeffery McWatters officiating. To honor and celebrate his life, family and friends are invited to a Bar-B-Que at his home following the memorial service.
Mr. Toth is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda (Bright) Toth; his son, Jimmy W Toth of Chesterfield, Virginia; his daughter, Patricia T. Polly of Lexington, Kentucky; his son, David K. Toth of Midiothian, Virginia and his son, Billy R Price of Fort Mill, SC; as well as his sister, Kathy Henderson of Scottsville, Virginia; his brother, David Toth of Cumberland, Virginia; his sister, Virginia Hopkins of London, Kentucky; his nine grandchildren; his three step-grandchildren; his one great-grandchild; many dear friends and his beloved cat, K.K.
Jim was born on June 28, 1940 in Jenkins, Kentucky and was a graduate of Jenkins High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1959 to 1963. He then began his thirty-two year service with the Defense General Supply Center of Richmond, Virginia and happily retired in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Mary (Krzak) Toth; his sister, Theresa Peace; his son, Shane Toth; and his step-daughter, Ramona Huggins.
Jim loved watching University of Kentucky basketball, fishing and hunting, "piddling" in the garage, listening to country music, playing cards but most of all he loved family and friend gatherings enjoying good food, cold beer and lots of laughter.
