James Oliver Young

James Oliver Young, 86, of 360 Cannon Dr. passed away Thursday April 29, 2010 at home. Mr. Young was born in Kershaw Co. to the late Henry Hamilton Young and Beulah Fincher Young on December 11, 1923. He was retired from Celanese after 32 years of service, US Army veteran of WWII, member of Four Square Gospel Church and American Legion. Mr. Young is survived by his wife Lenora Blakley Young; children James R. Young and wife Angela, Bryant A. Young and wife Lisa B. and Mandy L. Walker and husband Ronald W. all of Rock Hill; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Saturday May 1, 2010 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Pastor A. L. Hensley and Rev. Jerry DeVinney officiating. Interment will be in Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.
