James "Steve" Stephenson Mitchell

James Stephenson Mitchell “Steve” 68, of Clover went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2021. He was born on December 23, 1952, in York, SC.  Steve was a retired carpenter that enjoyed wood working and gardening.

Steve is survived by his Wife Mable Mitchell of the home. Three Sons Calvin Mitchell (Andrea), Michael Mitchell (Melissa) both of Clover, SC and Stephen Mitchell (Peggy) of Rock Hill, SC. One Daughter Brandi Williams (Ernie) of Clover, SC. Four Grandchildren Bradley Mitchell, Holley Mitchell, Tayler Mitchell and Isaac Mitchell. One Great Granddaughter Ellowynn Mitchell. Mother Eloise Mitchell of Clover, SC. Sister Gail Collins of Spartanburg, SC and one Niece Amy Lockhart (John) of Charleston, SC.

He was preceded in death by his father James Calvin Mitchell.

A service will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 3pm at Filbert Presbyterian Church in York, SC. Visitation will be from 1 pm – 2:30 pm prior to the service at the Church.
