Jamie Michelle Riney (formerly Boley) passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the age of 38.

A ‘pastor’s kid’, Jamie grew up in a few places. She was born in Pampa, Texas, but was relocated to Seattle,

Washington before her first birthday. An only child, Jamie lived with her mom and dad in Seattle, Phoenix, and a

couple of cities in Oregon—Medford and Portland suburb.

In 2004, Jamie graduated from Glencoe High School in Hillsboro, Oregon. She then attended the University of

Oregon and Azusa Pacific University in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts. She was remarkably creative

and artistic and loved to paint with oils and acrylics, draw in pen & ink, pencil and charcoal; and she was profi-

cient in design software, especially with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Jamie married her best friend, Justin, on July 15, 2017, and together they brought into the world two little red-

haired girls: Reagan June was born September 1, 2018; Ryan Ellyn James was born August 6, 2020. Jamie’s family

was her passion and her girls were the light of her life.

Jamie loved listening to all kinds of music, decorating her home, keeping her girls busy with art projects, and

cooking exotic dishes. More than these, Jamie was devoted to her relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ, a rela-

tionship she committed to when she was a young girl.

Jamie’s engaging personality lit up everyone who knew her. She was genuinely funny, uncannily perceptive, and

her intelligence was always on display, especially for anyone who dared to debate her on almost any topic.

Jamie is survived by husband Justin; two daughters, Reagan and Ryan; parents Scott & Esther Boley; grand-

mother Ellen Bergman and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins; Justin’s parents, Steve & Shelley Riney; Justin’s

grandfathers, Russell Onion and Doyle Riney; and Justin’s siblings, Jeremy, Stephanie and Jared.

Jamie left us far too early and we miss her terribly. We’re confident that she is safely in the arms of Jesus, cheering

on the rest of us.
