Jane (Boggs) Hooks

Jane Boggs Hooks, 73, of Fort Mill passed away peacefully on July 20, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born April 22, 1950, in Huntington, WV to parents Ernest and Cleo Boggs.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Judy Carmichael.

She is survived by her children, Jason Hooks (Liz); Shannon Bailey (Joe); her 5 grandchildren Bradley, Tyler, Chloe, Dylan and Miller; her brothers Jimmy Boggs and David Grass; sister Phyllis Hinchman; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Jane loved to travel, listen to music, celebrate the holidays with her family, and cheer for the Panthers. Her favorite spot would be on the beach with a book. Jane will be fondly remembered for her ability to make any occasion feel special with many lasting memories. Her warm smile and laugh would light up the room. Her generosity and kindness will always be remembered by those whose lives she touched. Affectionately known as Granna and Jever, she especially loved her grandchildren and celebrated many milestones with them.

She will be missed by her two beloved dogs, JoJo and Riggs.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Jordan, Kayce, Ashlyn, and Mayra for all of their loving care and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jane at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jane’s name to the Humane Society of York County or The HEARTest Yard .
