Jane Clark O'Brien

Jane Clark O'Brien, 89, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Saturday October 24, 2015 at 8 pm in the arms of her loving daughters. Jane was born January 6, 1926 in White Plains, NY to the late William and Elsie Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband Dudley O'Brien, sister Adele Walton, and nephew Ross Walton.

Jane previously worked at Love's and Morrison Smith's Jewelry in Charlotte, and taught herself how to make her own silver bracelets. She was an excellent bridge player and loved the beach, lake and pool.
Considered the "cool" mom, grandmother and friend, she touched so many lives.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Brian) Rich, Debbie (Gary) Shamp, grandchildren; Jessica and Justin Shamp, step grandchildren; Heather(Jonny) Lasker, and Bonnie (Jeremy) Ferguson, great-grandchildren, Brandon, Bella and Jett all of Charlotte, and niece, Marybeth Walton and three great-nephews of Florida.

A special thanks to everyone at Pineville Living Center who also loved and cared for her.

A funeral service will be held Friday October 30, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC.
