Jason Edward Pontus

York – Mr. Jason Edward Pontus, 40, died Saturday, April 24, 2021.

A memorial service will be 1:00 pm Friday, April 30, 2021 at Whitesell Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Fite officiating.

A native of Rock Hill SC, Mr. Pontus was a son of Stanley Edward Pontus and Vickie Ratterree Pontus.  He will be remembered as a free-spirited man who was always fun to be around.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He always was willing to help anyone with a need because he was such a Big Hearted Man.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pontus is survived by his wife, Rose Pontus; a sister, Heather Pontus; step-son, Trevor Rhyne; three nephews, Jaydon Petty, Chase Lowery and Luke Corley; and three nieces, Madison Pontus, Kayla Kimble and Catherine Corley.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Christy Pontus and his son, Hunter Pontus.
