Jay Anthony Karwatsky

Jay Anthony Karwatsky, 19 years old, passed away at home, June 11, 2016 and went peacefully to be with the Lord. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of John Karwatsky and Novella Karwatsky and loving step-father Alex Ziskind, and step-mother Kelly Karwatsky.

Jay was an honor graduate of Fort Mill High School, and captain of the Fort Mill High School Varsity tennis team. He was also an excellent pianist. He was a honor student at Georgia Tech, and was a member of Chi Alpha and the worship team.

Survivors include his grandmother Valentina (Babulya) and Kay Moore and Steve Karwatsky, and younger brother Andre Ziskind and extended family.

A visitation will be held Wednesday evening, June 15, 2016, 7-9 PM, at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC. Entombment will follow at 10 AM, June 16, 2016 at Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC followed by a memorial service to celebrate Jay's life that evening at 7 PM at the Carolinas Cornerstone Church, 1790 Gardendale Road, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
