Jean Fudge Loflin, age 79, of Rock Hill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Delano "Joe" Loflin. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Harmony Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Jean was born in Edgemoor, SC and graduated from Lewisville High School. She was the daughter of William Franklin and Margaret Olivia Orr Fudge. After high school, she moved to Charlotte where she worked at Southern Bell and after marriage then moved back to Edgemoor and began her 38 year career with the Rock Hill Telephone Company. Jean was an Independent Telephone Pioneer and enjoyed Church and singing in the choir, reading, her puppy (Sandy), dining out with family and friends, gardening and square dancing. Jean is survived by her three children: Dane Loflin and his wife, Rehna of Rock Hill, Elaine Loflin Moore and her husband, Bill of Atlanta, GA and Joy Loflin Perrotti and her husband Dave, of Oakland, CA. Jean proudly had four grandchildren: Dane Loflin (Lynn) and Stacy Loflin-Fann (Ashley) of Rock Hill, Vaughn Moore and Olivia Moore of Atlanta and three great grandchildren: Gabriella, Braxton and Mischa. In her battle with Alzheimer's, her grandchildren and great grandchildren always brought her the most joy and are a wonderful legacy to her life. She was fortunate to be a part of an extended Fudge family with sisters Agnes Bost, Sarah Bailey and Lucille Riley and brother, Donnie Fudge surviving. The family would like to thank the Fudge family, devoted friends and all the many caregivers that provided support for our mother in this long and difficult journey.
