Rock Hill. Jean Troublefield Redick Spampinato, 75, passed away at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice after having a stroke in December. A memorial service will be held at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2pm with visitation following the funeral. The Family will receive friends at her home. The oldest of the eight children of Cornelia Steele Troublefield and the late Linwood Cole Troublefield, Jean is survived by two daughters: Beth (Mike) Kane of Rock Hill and Ellen Youngblood of Surfside Beach; six grandchildren: Cameron Kane, Connie Kane, Courtney Kane, Max Youngblood, Jr., Matthew (Victoria) Youngblood, and Rachel Youngblood; along with five brothers: Tom (Lila) Troublefield, Bill Troublefield, Dan Troublefield, Paul (Geri) Troublefield, Jeff (Vanessa) Troublefield; and two sisters: Becky (Ron) Davis, and Linda Adams. She also left cherished friends Jack and Dina Broadbent, Judy Kennedy, Gloria Simpson, Linda Warren, and Bill Redick, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jean graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1959 and later from Limestone College summa cum laude in 1985. First, she was secretary to Tom Gettys in 1959-1960 and then was secretary to the Judge and Clerk of Court from 1960-1971. Next she was secretary and executive secretary at M. Lowenstein and Sons from 1971-1979. From 1979 to 1983, she worked at Thies Corporation and became Vice President. Next she worked for Interstate Textile Machinery Sales from 1986-1996 before her last job working for Jack Broadbent at AccuGraphics, Inc., from 1998-2014. Jean's personality was punctuated by her intelligence, friendliness, and generosity. She was known by her smile and her loving heart toward people and animals. She shared her love through many ways to her family and to her friends. Her talents were numerous, including extraordinary organizational skills and a creative knack for crafts, such as silk embroidery, crocheting, polymer clay, and card making with which she blessed many. The family appreciates the kindness and caring of all her previous doctors along with all the nurses, therapists, and CNA's from Pruitt, Piedmont Hospital, and Wayne T. Patrick Hospice.
