Jeanne Barnhart Jameson

Jeanne Barnhart Jameson, 84 quietly passed away in her home in Indian Land, SC surrounded by her family on July 30, 2013. She was born on April 17, 1929 in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Jameson attended Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. She worked for the telephone company in Silver Spring before uniting in marriage to William Penn Jameson, Jr. They started their family in Silver Spring, MD before moving to Indian Head, MD in 1966. Mrs. Jameson worked as a teachers' assistant at J.C. Parks Elementary School for many years where she touched the lives of all who knew her. She continued her passion of knitting, crocheting, gardening and most of all, spending time with her family. Mrs. Jameson was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, William Penn Jameson, Jr., sister, Anne Burgess, brothers Robert Mayberry & Ted Mayberry. She is survived by her half brother Roger W. Huff of CA, daughters Ruth Jameson Perry of Indian Land, SC, Sally Jameson Shaffer (Smokey) of Bowie, MD & Nancy Jameson Woloshin (Mark) of Titusville, FL. She was blessed to be the 'Grammy' to 7 grandchildren: J. Brian Shaffer (Michelle), Kevin Shaffer (Shannon), Meredith Perry, Amanda Perry, Will Perry, Daniel Woloshin & Rachel Woloshin along with 4 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. At Mrs. Jameson's request, there will be a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice & Community Care, 2275 India Hook Road Rock Hill, SC 29732.
