Jeanne Gordon LeHardy, daughter of the late Frank Miller LeHardy and Julia Gordon LeHardy, was born in Orange, NJ, August 3, 1929. She earned a B. S. degree in Health and Physical Education (1960) and a Master of Science in Teaching degree (1967) from Georgia Southern University. After teaching in Sarasota, FL, Baltimore, MD, Savannah, and York, SC schools and in the department of Health and Physical Education at Winthrop University, she was owner of the Village Pump Gasoline Station, the Car Wash at Herlong, and director of the City Bridge Club. She is survived by her sister, Ms. Elizabeth LeHardy Osborne, of Savannah, GA; her niece, Julie McIntosh, of Savannah; her nephews, Frank McIntosh and James McIntosh, of Savannah and Brevard, NC; friends in Rock Hill, especially at Park Pointe Village, Winthrop University, and Mondaynighters; and Barney Beagle and Lester Cat. Her long-term friend, Dorothy Medlin predeceased her recently. The memorial service will be private. Interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.
