Jeff David Wood

Jeff David Wood, 68 died Saturday, March 3, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 2pm at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Friday, March 9. Born September 14, 1949 in Freeport, Texas to the late Jeff Weast Wood and Janette Stone Stanley Wood Olson. Dave served in the US Navy aboard the SS Nimitz from 1968-1972 and served in the Naval Reserves for over 20 years. Dave was a generous man and an avid golfer. A resident of Rock Hill for over 35 years he loved the climate of the Carolinas. He is survived by his sister, Diane Woods of Clute, Texas and daughters, Heather Wood Davis (and husband Tripp) of Hickory, NC and Emily Arden Wood of Rock Hill, SC and granddaughters, Arden and Huntley Davis of Hickory, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the PGA Reach Foundation, a division of PGA, enhancing the lives of disabled veterans through the game of golf; www.pgareach.org
