Jeffrey Hope Hammond

Jeffrey Hope Hammond, born on June 6, 1966, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Rock Hill on June 1, 2024, at the age of 57.

Jeff was the cherished son of Lydia Hope Hammond and the late Roger Warren Hammond. He is survived by his devoted mother, Lydia, and his siblings Marsha Evans (Glen) and Mark Hammond. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bryan Hammond. He had two nephews, Colby Evans (Grace) and Hunter Evans.

Jeff was the proud father of two sons, Jess Hammond and Jake Hammond (Gabrielle), he had with his wife Katrina Hammond. His boys were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment he spent with them. His niece and nephew Lydia and Timothy Evans, he affectionately called “his babies”, children of Colby and Grace Evans, had a special relationship with him. He would always have a new toy or activity for them to do when they would visit.

A man of remarkable intelligence, Jeff had an incredible knack for understanding how things worked. His sharp mind and natural curiosity were obvious to everyone who knew him. Despite his vast knowledge and skills, Jeff was known for his humility and his readiness to help anyone in need. He was always there to lend a hand, no matter what the task or challenge.

Jeff's love for music was a big part of his life. He found great joy in playing the guitar, a passion he shared with many. His music brought comfort and happiness to those around him, creating lasting memories.

Jeff lived a life full of kindness, generosity, and service to others. He will be remembered for his warm heart, quick wit, and unwavering support for family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jeff Hammond's legacy of love, intelligence, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

The family will receive friends and family at 1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 5th , 2024 at Providence Baptist Church, 1947 Old Friendship Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
