Jeffrey Edward Kirby, 57, passed away in the loving arms of his wife on March 14, 2022. He was born on January 30, 1965 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Billy and Lois (Jones) Kirby. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and was a graduate of Independence High School, attended Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from Wingate University. Throughout high school and his time at Appalachian State University, he played his favorite sport, football. He later was forced to stop due to injuries but remained passionate about the sport. In 2001, he married the love of his life, Robyn Moreno-Kirby and became the father of her 4 children, and then settled in Rock Hill, South Carolina. His love for Mountain Dew and the Panthers was only superseded by his love of Jesus and his love for his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Robyn Elisabeth Moreno-Kirby of Rock Hill, SC, his four children Andrew Mark Moreno (Brennan) of Rock Hill, SC, Jennie Moreno Garcia (Antonio) of Rock Hill, SC, Daniel Fernando Moreno (Jessica) of Rock Hill, SC, and Grace Emily Moreno of Simpsonville, SC; three grandchildren, Gabriel Jacob Garcia, Asher Cleo Garcia, and Oskar Daniel Moreno; sister Sharon (Sherry) Kirby Guillen (Jim) of Matthews, NC and brother
William Brian Kirby (Carole) of Indian Trail, NC; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708. A visitation will be from 1pm until service time.
The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who has reached out, supported, and offered condolences during this difficult time.
