Jeffrey Lee Sarles 61 of Fort Mill, SC, formerly of Carmel NY, peacefully entered into rest on May 10th, 2024 at home surrounded by those he loved most after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born November 1st, 1962 in Mt. Kisco NY, the son of John Sr. and Eileen Sarles. In addition to his parents he is survived by his siblings; John Sarles Jr., Douglas Sarles, Roger Sarles and Maryann Sarles.

Jeff graduated from Carmel High School. He served 4 years in the United States Army before being honorably discharged. He was a career truck driver and a jack of all trades.

A selfless man who would do just about anything for those he loved. He was hardworking and loyal. He spent his life making sure his family was safe and cared for. He made an impact on everyone who was lucky enough to meet and know him. Always willing to lend a hand.

A lover of football, golf, basketball and every sport in between. Always there for his children and grandchildren as their love of sports grew, cheering them on from the stands.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all.

He leaves a lasting legacy to be cherished. His devoted wife of 36 years Dawn Sarles. His oldest daughter Tori Andrews and her husband Omar Andrews. His youngest daughter Lindsay Nelson and her husband Quinn Nelson. His only son Anthony Vanderpool.

His grandchildren whom he loved dearly; Olivia, Sophia, Nathan, Ashlynn, Anthony Jr., Freya, and Finlay.

His great granddaughter, Mila.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held by the family on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at 3pm at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC. If you are unable to attend the service will be live streamed here .

Jeff’s family would like to extend sincere appreciation for the oncology team, palliative care and hospice staff that cared for him. Also his beloved family and friends for all the support. Your kindness and love will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to South Carolina Hospice and the American Cancer Society in Jeffrey’s name.
