Jeffrey Thomas Wright

Jeffrey Thomas Wright (81) of Indian Land, SC suffered a heart attack and passed suddenly on February 17, 2024.  Jeff was born in Iowa City, IA to Dave and Von Wright.  Jeff was raised in Sterling, IL where he attended Sterling High School and met Judy (Bragg), his wife of 62 years.  He worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire before pursuing his passion of building houses in the Atlanta, Ga area.  Jeff and Judy eventually retired to Indian Land, SC.

Jeff was passionate about his family, including his extended family.  Jeff was an avid learner.  He enjoyed working with his hands, whether in the yard, home or on various projects.  In retirement he also stayed up to date with technology, often consulting with family on how to use tech features. He looked forward most to family gatherings and vacations where many family stories were born. Those who spent any time with Jeff quickly understood he was an honest, caring, humble and hard working man who loved his wife and family deeply.

Jeff is survived by his wife Judy and three children Tim (Sandy) Wright, Tammy (Jeff) Book, Terry (Lori) Wright.  He is also survived by his sister Judy Kradle, brother-in-law Dan (Cindy) Bragg and seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren with one on the way.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Salvation Army .
