Jennie Curry Mckellar

November 11, 1929 — February 13, 2016

ROCK HILL - Jennie Curry McKellar, 86, of 2895 Starnes Dr., died Saturday, February 13, 2016, at her home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, at College Park Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Carter officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Born in Rock Hill, Mrs. McKellar was the daughter of the late David and Willie Mae Curry. She was retired from the Celanese after 40 years in order to be a caregiver to her mother. She was a faithful member of College Park Baptist Church, including JOY Group, Morning Glories and Sunday School. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Mickey McKellar Jr.; three daughters, Frances Moore (Charles), Debra Williams, Donna Reid (Russell); 14 grandchildren, and many great and great great-grandchildren that she was blessed to have.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon McKellar Sr.; a brother, James Curry; two sisters, Elizabeth Curry and Betty Varnadore; and two great-grandchildren, Aaron Moore and Elizabeth Taylor.

Memorials may be made to College Park Baptist Church or Hospice and Community Care.
