Jerry Wayne Mallard

Jerry Wayne Mallard 66, of Fort Mill died on February 12, 2017. A service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday February 16, 2017 at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 2-3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens. Jerry started everyday sitting in the kitchen with the window open reading devotions. He loved his bible. He was a retired truck driver who loved the open road. He also worked for the Town of Fort Mill in their maintenance dept. Jerry loved helping others with yard-work and handyman tasks. He never met a stranger and he loved to cut up. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and family. He is survived by his wife Ann Threatt Mallard. They were married 43 years and together for 45 years. His sons Retired Staff Sergeant James Smith Mallard of Lancaster, Joe Mallard and Billy Mallard both of Fort Mill. Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A brother Robert Mallard of Chesapeake, VA and a sister Rachel Boone of Spartanburg, SC. Jerry is now with the Lord new and happy. Online condolences may be registered at www.basscares.com
