Jimmy Lee Center

Jimmy Lee Center, son of the late Arthur "Doc" and Ellen Spake Center. Jimmy was born June 28, 1936 in Greenville,SC. He was employed by Pitney Bowes for 40 years and live in Greenville, SC, Rock Hill, SC and Raleigh, NC and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Rock HIll. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Melva Lovern Center ; his sons Barry Lee Center and wife Darla of Ft. Mill, Arthur Britt Center and wife Cissie of Rock Hill; four grandsons Brad Lee Center of Rock Hill, Blake Lyle Center serving as a specilatist in the National Guard in Afghanistan and his wife Danielle Center of Ft. Mill, Jimmie Blackwelder serving as a specialist in the US Army at Ft. Bliss Texas and his wife Huong of EL Paso; Kyle Blackwelder and fiancée Tiffany Ballard of Rock Hill; three great grandchildren Kayden Emerson Blackwelder, Jordan Lee Kimbrell and Jaedyn Ariel Thompson; a sister Jeanette C. Long and husband John B. of Oak Island, NC; two brothers Johnny Earl Center and wife Carol, C. Wayne Center and wife Rita all of Greenville, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Center will be held Thursday at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church, 1249 Oakdale Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730
