Joan Eleanor Kaim

Mrs. Joan E. Kaim, age 75, of Indian Land and formerly of West Milford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Carolinas-Medical Center North East in Concord, NC. Born Joan Eleanor Gallina on May 18, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of the late Louis and Adeline Gallina and wife of the late George H. Kaim. Mrs. Kaim was a retired Customer Service Representative where she worked for a medical device company, EBI, now known as Biomet in Parsippany, NJ. Mrs. Kaim was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Fort Mill. Mrs. Kaim enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, travelling with her husband on many cruises, shopping excursions and loved to play Bingo.
The Funeral Mass of Mrs. Kaim will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 1 pm at St. Philip Neri Church with Father John Giuliani officiating.
Mrs. Kaim is survived by her daughters, Joan Marie Waldron and her husband Bill, Amy Lynn Lopez and her husband Joseph all of Charlotte, and Kimberly Ladka and her husband Michael of Monroe, NY, a sister Rosemarie Santangelo and her husband Michael of Rye, NY and sister Lois Gallina of Freehold, NJ and a daughter-in-law Marlina Kaim of Niceville, FL, 10 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Cookie. She was preceded in death by a son George Henry Kaim, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 4pm and 7pm until 9pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Palmetto Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
