Joel "Wayne" Patterson, Sr.

Joel "Wayne" Patterson, Sr., 71, of Fort Mill, passed away at home. He was born November 7, 1948 in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Charles H. Patterson and Ida Virginia (Flowe) Patterson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Boyd Patterson.

Wayne was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed. He enjoyed time spent with his family, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his son, Joel W. Patterson, II and his wife, Tressa of Fort Mill and two grandchildren, RJ Shaw and Gracie Patterson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2019 at Palmetto Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Flowers are welcome and should be delivered to the funeral home.
