Mr. John David Baker, 61, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024. Born July 8, 1963 in Dillon, South Carolina. He was the son of the late James and Vivian Carol Baker. David served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.SS. Charles F. Adams for 4 years. He then went on to work for the S.C. Highway Patrol as a L/Cpl for 15 1/2 years. He retired from the Highway Patrol in 2001, then went on to work as a Private Investigator for the S.C. Public Defender's Office until his retirement in 2014.

David is survived by his wife, Roseanne Baker; children: Jaclyn and J.D. Baker; sister, Theresa Rogers, of Latta, S.C.; nephew, Matthew Rogers and his wife, Cameron, of Columbus, G.A.; brother, Jimmy Baker and his wife, Angela Baker, of Cherry Grove, S.C.; nephew, Kaleb Baker; and many more loving family and friends.

David enjoyed spending time with family and our dog, Georgia. He loved cooking, playing golf, listening to music and going to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for vacation.

He was very loved and will be missed by his family and many friends.

A visitation for the family will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home, 700 Heckle Boulevard Rock Hill, S.C. 29730.
