FORT MILL- John Clarence "Chuck" Bowers, 92, of 612 Banks Street, died February 21, 2010, at the
Agape Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Unity Cemetery, with Joey Deese
officiating.

Born in Newberry, he is the son of the late Clarence and Minnie Mills Bowers and was retired
from Springs Industries. He attended Newberry College on a basketball scholarship and played semi pro baseball with several teams. Mr. Bowers also liked to fish and hunt.

He is survived by his son, Charles Bowers of Rock Hill; two daughters, Janice Ross and Karen Moore both of Rock Hill; two sisters, Cleo Hartman of Whitmire and Esther Thomas of Ninety-Six; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
