Mr. John P. Dunn, 80, of Fort Mill, South Carolina passed away Wednesday, April, 18, 2017 in the Wellmore Hospice Unit in Tega Cay, SC.

Born July 11, 1937 in Queens, NY he was the son of the late David and Helen Dunn. Mr. Dunn attended Marist College and had a successful career as a national sales manager. After leaving the Bronx, NY in his early adulthood he moved to Westtown, NY to raise his family. "Poppy" as he was often referred to as, loved high school football and the New York Giants. He loved family events and prided himself in making sure a person smiled or laughed in his presence.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Eileen (Burke) Dunn of Fort Mill, Daughter Nancy Petruski and her husband Andrew, Daughter Mary Ellen Reese and her husband John, Son James Dunn and his wife Linda and his 5 adored grandchildren Madison Reese, Aidan Petruski, Meredith Reese, Ryan Dunn and Brady Dunn. Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by his brother, David Dunn.

A Memorial Service will take place Tuesday, April 24th at 11:30 am at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church at 292 Munn Road E, Fort Mill, SC 29175. A reception will follow at Saint Philip Neri immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests any memorials be sent to the America Diabetes Association.
