John Francis Emmerling

August 29, 1939 — March 3, 2022

John (Jack) Francis Emmerling, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away Thursday, March 3,2022 at the age of 82.

He was the beloved husband to Judith Miller Emmerling (deceased); Loving father of Luke (Amanda) Emmerling, Kara (Tyson) Campbell and Lisa (Troy) Albaugh; Proud Pop-Pop to eight grandchildren: Conner and Addison Emmerling of Charlotte NC, Tillman, Wallace, Lochlan and Leona Campbell of Fort Mill, SC, and Ashlyn and Miller Albaugh of Fort Mill, SC.

He was the oldest of three brothers, Charles, Thomas and Ernest Emmerling; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cherished friends and neighbors.

Preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Alice Auth Emmerling, and sisters, Judith Probert Palm and Cathy Emmerling August.

Jack graduated from Duquesne University and worked as a salesman. His hobbies included basketball, golf, bocce ball, watching the kids play sports and spending time with his friends.

Friends and Family are welcome to attend the funeral service on Monday, March 21st, at 10:30 AM at St. Louise de Marillac, 320 McMurray Road, Pittsburgh, 15241. Burial ceremony to follow at the Queen of Heaven cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
