John (Jack) Harris passed away peacefully at 90 on Sunday December 3rd in Fort Mill, SC. Jack was a native of Toledo, OH where he graduated from DeVilbiss High School. He’s survived by his loving wife, Marge and their 4 children. Marge and Jack were high school sweethearts and married for 68 years.
Jack was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing golf, softball, and tennis throughout his lifetime. If he wasn’t playing sports, he was watching them. He enjoyed coaching his son’s football and baseball teams; and playing golf and tennis with his daughters.
In 1993, Jack retired from Procter & Gamble and he and Marge moved to the mountains in Brevard NC. They later moved to Fort Mill SC where he enjoyed working and playing golf at the Fort Mill Golf Club; and enjoyed countless memories with many wonderful neighbors/friends. He was also a member at the Lake Wylie Lutheran Church.
He will be remembered as a man of strong character and work ethic. Those closest to him will fondly recall his love for sports, sense of humor and one-liners.
