John Clinton "Chuck" Herndon

Mr. John "Chuck" Clinton Herndon, 58, of Catawba passed away at Piedmont Medical Center on Sunday, July 7, 2019.
Chuck was born on May 21, 1961 in Laurinburg, NC to James and Doris Davis Herndon. He was a United States Airforce Veteran. Chuck was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shooting. He loved his family; especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Doris Herndon.
In addition to his father he will be remembered by his wife Teresa "Terri" Herndon, two sons John Christopher Herndon and wife Emily of Lancaster; Justin Lee Herndon and wife Christy of Rock Hill, five grandchildren Kaylee, McKenzie, Savannah, Kendall and John. Also surviving is one brother David Herndon and wife Jamie of SC and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate John's life will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 161 N. Clark, Suite 3550, Chicago, Illinois 60601 or St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
