John Larry Jackson

John Larry Jackson, was a loving husband, active father, and a very compassionate man about his family and mostly Christ. He passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at age of 58. Mr. Jackson was born in Monroe, NC to John Alfred and Minnie Sue Mills Jackson. He was an avid Gamecock fan; so much so that he was a member of the York County Gamecock Club. Larry also supported and started an ALS Support Group; he was very active with ALS support groups and mentor to a lot of people. Larry was also an ordained chaplain. Mr. Jackson was a long time member of the Fort Mill Church of God where he was also a board member, prayer partner, and a prayer warrior. He loved his family, loved his church, and his friends.
He survived by his loving wife Cindy Jackson of Tega Cay, SC, two sons John Stephen Jackson his wife Joanie, and Christopher Lee Jackson his wife Emily both of Fort Mill, SC. Mr. Jackson is also survived by a sister Kathy Tuttle her husband Bryan of Rock Hill, SC. Larry had four wonderful grandchildren Chloe, Wyatt, Carter, and Carcyn; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the Fort Mill Church of God. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 2 PM at the Fort Mill Church of God with Reverend Bobby Johnson, Reverend Mark Leonhardt, and Reverend Larry Nivens presiding. A graveside service will follow at Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill, SC. The pallbearers include Aubrey Tickle, Billy Burris, David Ward, Jr., Benny Howard, Tim Walker, and Shane Broome.
