John Gil Swan

John Gil Swan, 60, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away suddenly Friday, February 2, 2024. John is survived by his beloved son, Matthew Swan; his father, Charles Mazzone; his sister, Kathleen (Glenn) Ross; and his nephews Jaime Swan & Kristopher (Alicia) Rubin. He is preceded in death by his mother, who was his world, Patricia Mazzone. Loved and missed by all who knew him.

John was born in Norristown, PA and lived the majority of his life in New Jersey, having moved to South Carolina only eight years ago. He was a loving and proud father, son, brother, and uncle who was family-oriented, very thoughtful and hard-working. John worked at Pathmark for 35 years, spending the majority of those years in management, and was dear to many in the company. Most recently, he started and owned his own business which he was extremely proud of. John had an immense love for playing golf with his nephew and friends, hunting with his father, and attending sporting events with his son and family.

A celebration of life will be held and announced at a later date and is yet to be determined. Family and friends will be notified of the date and setting once decided upon.
