John Jordan Watts Sr.

John Jordan Watts, Sr., 91, of Edgemoor, SC passed away Friday, May 10, 2013. Born in Chester County, SC, Mr. Watts was the son of the late John David and Della Jordan Watts. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired from M. Lowenstein. Mr. Watts was a member and deacon at Harmony Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Sanders Watts. He is survived by 2 sons, John Jordan Watts, Jr. (Laura) of Lexington, SC and Joseph Alton Watts (Theresa) of Columbia, SC; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Watts will be held 2pm Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Porterfield and Rev. William Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday May 13, 2013 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
