Johnny Robert Polk

ROCK HILL- Mr. John Robert "Johnny" Polk, 74, of 219 E. Rambo Road, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

Born in Rock Hill, he is the son of the late Nolen and Cora Porter Polk. There will be no services as requested by Johnny. The family will receive friends Friday, October 22, 2010, from 4 until 7 P.M. at the home of Martha Adams, 282 E. Rambo Road, Rock Hill.

Surviving is one son, Robert Jeffrey Polk; three sisters, Doris P. Baker, Martha Faye Adams, Carolyn P. Helms; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry Polk, Nolen Polk, Jr., Roy Polk and Gene Polk and one sister, Annie P. Tibbetts.

Mr. Polk was an Army Veteran. He retired from Inland Containers of Rock Hill. He was a farmer for many years working the family farm in Rock Hill. He was a member of Mount Holly UMC. He enjoyed gardening and fixing things around the house. He loved spending time with his grandson.
