It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Daniel Bongiorno, who peacefully passed away on March 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Atrium Pineville Hospital in North Carolina. Born on February 18, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph led a life rich in service, family, and passion. Joseph proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, where he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his country. After his service, he returned home, met the love of his life, Annabelle, and the two were married on October 8, 1960. Together, they shared over 60 years of marriage, creating a lifetime of cherished memories. Joseph was a devoted avid Hunter and a passionate gun collector, with a deep appreciation for history and craftsmanship, which he passed down to his family. His love for his hobbies was only surpassed by his love for his family. Joseph is survived by his wife, Annabelle Bongiorno; his son, Scott Bongiorno; his daughter, Donna Triolo; his son-in-law, Frank Triolo; and his daughter-in-law, Linda Lawson. He was a proud grandfather to three grandsons: Frank Triolo Jr., Nicholas Bongiorno, and Vincent Bongiorno. In 2020, Joseph and Annabelle relocated to Fort Mill, South Carolina, after many years of residence in Staten Island, New York. His family will forever hold him in their hearts, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
