Joseph Charles Dailey, age 62, passed away peacefully January 29, 2023 in Tega Cay, SC. surrounded by his loved ones.
Joe was born on July 13, 1960, to Carl and Susan Dailey in Chicago, IL. Devoted husband of Evelyn, the love of his life for 37 years, beloved brother of his two sisters, Susan Blazek (Chuck), Kris, and brother Robert, and loving Uncle to his many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and friend to many.
He touched people's lives more than he could ever imagine and will be remembered for his contagious smile and love of life. Joes's favorite phrase was, "Life is good!". His favorite song, "What a Wonderful World" and one of his favorite movies was "It's a Wonderful Life"
Above all, Joe deeply loved God. His life reflected that in his words, deeds, and actions, made evident by his love, patience, kindness, gentleness, sensitivity, generosity displayed toward everyone, and his strength and resilience in the face of adversity, knowing God was always in control. Even when ill, Joe remained positive, faithful, and continuously thought of others.
His outgoing friendly personality led him to a career in sales and property management but in his free time, he enjoyed and pursued many interests, among them: golf, photography, camping, hiking, fishing, the outdoors, cooking, music, writing songs and poetry, and playing the guitar. Joe also loved sports and was an avid, lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.
At the end, Joe told the doctor: "I ran a race, and I won."
Joe touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all his family and dear friends. As he always said: "I'll see you in the "MORNING."
