Joseph Leroy Heidel

Joseph Lee Heidel, 84, passed away Tuesday, October 2nd, 2013 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Joe was born September 27, 1929, the middle of 6 children from his mother Eunice Schwartz's and father Earl Eugene Heidel. Joe served in the Air Force during the Korean War as a bomber Gunny. After the war he met his beautiful bride, Helen Marie Simmerman in southern Ohio and they were married in the spring 1962. In 1960 Joe began his career with General Electric as an electrician for 10 years then moving his family to Springdale Ark to work for Welches as a plant supervisor for nine years. Joe finished his working career in Kalamazoo Michigan where he retired from American Cyanamid. Joe was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and boating any chance he could. Joe is survived by his brother Earl and two sons, Keith and Mark Heidel, and grandchildren: Amy, Stephanie, Carsyn and Luke Heidel, and several nephews and nieces Joseph has requested no funeral service and to be cremated in South Carolina.
