Joseph Paul Leone, Jr

Joseph Paul Leone, 70, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 5th, 1949 in Rochester, NY, son of Joseph and Susan Leone.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday February 7, 2020 at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC.

He is survived by his wife Margaret of 47 years; daughter Rachele Leone, son and his wife Paul and Cynthia Leone, mother Susan Leone, sister Susan Leone, brother and his wife Michael and Stacia Leone, granddaughter Tayler Leone, and special niece and her husband Amber and John MacRae, and many loving extended family members.

Joe was a devoted, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother and friend; selflessly putting other first by lending an open hand when anyone needed help. He never hesitated to do for others, that is what made him happy. We all will miss your wonderful sense of humor, your awesome home cooked meals, your special way with words, your willingness to be sensitive and loving in such a caring way. Our hearts are broken not having you near us in the physical sense, but you live on in hearts with your loving spirit.

He graduated from East High School in 1967. His working career turned him in many directions, from bartending, to restaurant management, to restaurant owner, and eventually carpentry work as an independent carpenter installing kitchens after moving to the Charlotte, NC area.

If so inclined, in lieu of flowers I know Joe's preference would be the Levine Cancer Institute-Pineville, Charlotte, NC. There is an absolutely wonderful team at this center, from the doctors, to the nurses, to the wonderful people bringing him his meals every day and we are grateful for the kindness.
