Joshua Wayne Burgess

Rutherfordton, NC - Joshua Wayne Burgess, 27, left this world for his Heavenly home on Friday, July 17, 2015, from Ashville, NC.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1054 Johns Street, Rock Hill, SC. Visitation will follow the service.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Jerry (Billy) and Tonda Burgess; two sisters, Jessica Burgess of Rock Hill and Ciera Burgess of the home; one brother, Josiah Burgess of the home; paternal grandmother, Gail Burgess; maternal grandmother, Jean Usher; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A special thanks to Cecil Cheek, Bethani Watt, and their children, Bradley Cheek and Alexis Cheek of Rutherfordton, NC for opening their home and hearts to Joshua. Also, thanks to his many friends in Rutherfordton.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Joshua Burgess Fund in the care of the Tonda Burgess.
