Joyce Yvonne “Vonnie” Adams, 78, of Rock Hill, SC was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2024..

Yvonne was born in 1946 in Lando, SC and was the daughter of the late Crawford “Cee” Hinson and the late Margaret Hinson. She married John Richard Adams in 1965. During their marriage, she was a proud mother of four children. Her career began at Springs Industries, Lance Corporation and ended with CVS pharmacy. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women’s group. She enjoyed crocheting and making blankets for the new births in the family, she loved Folly Beach, traveling, cooking and spending time with her family and her dog, Luna.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Shelley (Allen) McClary of Rock Hill, Angie (Sonny) Conner of Edgemoor, Ryan (Michelle) Adams of Conway and Jason (Sarah) Adams of Fort Mill. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and her siblings, Joan (Jimmy) Wheeler, Lanie (Jimmy) Knight, Phil (Paula) Hinson, Russell (Teresa) Hinson, and Fran (Darrell) Coleman.

In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Adams; as well as her brother, Laxton Hinson and his wife Ruth.

The family will receive friends at 12:30 p.m. with a service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1232 Curtis Street Rock Hill, SC, 29730.
