Rock Hill - Mrs. Joyce Lynn Driggers Eddleman, 70, formerly of Chester, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.


Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1883 Saluda St. in Rock Hill. The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens in Chester.

Born in Chester, S.C., Joyce was a daughter of the late James and Louise Driggers. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and her faith. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Rock Hill Ward. She enjoyed cooking, genealogy, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her sons, Mark A. Culp of Chester, James Eddleman (Virginia) of Oklahoma City, OK and Treas Eddleman (Nicola) of Herriman, Utah; step children Nancy Price (Glen) of Harrisville, Utah, Ray Eddleman (Pam) of Kent, WA, Kay Eddleman of Chester, and Amy Covill (Paul) of Dunn, NC; sister Ruby Ledford of Rock Hill; 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Eddleman and her sister, Pauline Lee.

Heartfelt thanks go to close friends and family who have loved and cared for Joyce for so long. The family would also like to thank the kind nurses and staff from Hospice and Community Care for their loving service.
