Juanita Hopper Robinson

August 17, 1923 — January 12, 2013

Juanita Warmoth Hopper Robinson, 89, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at home. Born in Chester, SC on August 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James Richard and Fannie Bell Campbell Warmoth. Mrs. Robinson was a member of First Christian Church and the Serenity Club of York County. She was well loved and well known through her many years of work at One Hour Martinizing, her church, as well as her service to recovering alcoholics. She was an inspiration to many. The family wishes to express their thanks to Martine Pierre for her tireless loving care to Mrs. Robinson, as well as the PCU staff at Piedmont Medical Center. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Robinson; an infant son, Charles Terrance Hopper; 3 brothers, Hennies, Louis, and Jack; and 2 sisters, Betty and Barbara. She is survived by her son, William D. Hopper, Jr. and his wife, Denise of Rock Hill, SC; 2 daughters, Frances Ann Hopper Mabry and Betty Jean Robinson, both of Rock Hill, SC; a brother, Bobby Gene Warmoth of Summerville, SC; 3 sisters, Lorene Dabney of Greenwood, SC, Margie Wilson of Fort Myers, FL, and Peggy Propst of Concord, NC; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth Ballard Windell (Jackson), Julia Hopper Milne (Dean), Martha Hopper Compton (Robbie), Sara Hopper Hazzard (John), Emily Hopper Hinson (Rodney); and 16 great-grandchildren, Thomas, Ann, and John Windell, Jacob, Zachary, Lydia, and Eliza Milne, Campbell and Maggie Compton, Potter Hazzard, Ethan, Macy, Marshall, and Grayson Hinson, Lilly and Ian Miller. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Robinson will be held at 1pm Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Rev. Caryl Strange and Rev. Mike Ditton officiating and Nick Campbell assisting. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens. At the request of Mrs. Robinson, friends are encouraged to wear a touch of pink or bright colors. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church 110 Laurens St. Rock Hill, SC 29732 or to Serenity Club of York County 209 Grayson Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732.
