Judith Giles Parrish, November 2, 1939 - June 15, 2023, Rock Hill, SC

Judith Giles Parrish, 83, passed away Thursday June 15, 2023 at the Wayne T Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. A native of Rock Hill, Judy was born November 2, 1939, daughter of the late Benjamin Frank Giles and Lee Anna Giles. She was a 55 year member of Woodhaven Baptist Church where she served in numerous capacities whenever called upon. She was married to Cecil Gerald Parrish Sr. for 66 wonderful years.

Judy will always be remembered as a kind and loyal servant of The Lord, willing provider for her family, devoted mother to her children, and a shining example of a wife as designed by and revealed in the Word of God. She was a long-time  hairdresser in Rock Hill, forming life-long friendships that allowed her to minister to many others whenever she could. She was always there at any time and for anyone in need.

She is survived by her husband Gerald Parrish, her son Jerry Parrish and wife Susan, and her daughter Cathy Nader and husband Scott, all of Rock Hill. Grandchildren include Melia Nader Beavers (Bradford) of Summerville, SC; Jonathan Parrish (Leslie) of Rock Hill; Kaitlyn Prater (Matt) of Rock Hill, Chad Nader (Mallory) of Rock Hill; and Seth Parrish (Sarah) of Lancaster, SC. She was blessed with 4 wonderful great-grandchildren as well.

Celebration of Life services will be held at Bass-Cauthen Chapel, 700 Heckle Blvd., Rock Hill, SC on Tuesday June 20, 2023. Family visitation will begin at 11:00 am with the service beginning at 12:00 pm with Dr. Tom Patterson officiating, assisted by Reverend Grant Hinson . Internment at Grand View Memorial Park, 620 S Cherry Road, Rock Hill, will follow the chapel service.
